Super Bowl vibes were soaring high, but nobody could take their eyes off a magnificent, expecting Rihanna. She didn’t just own the stage; she owned the ad game too! Did you catch her flaunting that brand-new Fenty lipstick shade? And oh, that on-stage touch up with her Invisimatte Instant Setting+ Blotting Powder? What a queen! 💄

Talk about seizing the moment! Rihanna wasn’t just about the vocals; she clinched a cool $5.6 million in earned media within 12 hours for Fenty Beauty, her own beauty brand (Cheers, Launchmetrics). Ad agencies, you might’ve been outshined this time – RiRi’s got moves!

Though some of the ads were a tad underwhelming, we’ve distilled the best of the bunch for you. Here’s the rundown:

Workday’s ad hit a chord – literally. Ever dubbed someone a ‘rockstar’ at work? Well, Workday posed an interesting question: does that make the actual rockstars frown? With icons like Ozzy, Billy, Joan, Gary, and Paul from KISS, this ad grabs our “Spot-on Relatable” award. “Stop using ‘rockstar’ for workplace wins,” they say. But with Workday and Ogilvy’s brilliance? They might be singing a different tune.

And oh boy! The buzz around Tubi’s rabbit hole was loud! Mischief @ No Fixed Address got us all talking with a whirlwind 15-second clip of bunnies and their mysterious antics. And the cherry on top? The spot clinched the Super Clio award for Best Super Bowl Ad. If you haven’t jumped in yet, take the leap!

Tissues, please! The Farmer’s Dog had us reaching for one with their poignant portrayal of human-canine love. It’s a rollercoaster of life moments, all with a faithful furry friend by your side. If, like Ava, you’re a pupper enthusiast, this one’s a tearjerker.

But that’s not all! We had a boogie with Jeep’s groovy critters, a chuckle with Sam Adams’ Bostonian “cousin”, and a surprise rendezvous with J-Lo and Ben Affleck at Dunkin’. Oh, and let’s not forget that irresistible hold music with Bud Light, Anomaly, and Miles Teller – on-hold will never be the same!

Coming up for you below:

As Londoners, Samuel Adam’s A Brighter Boston gave us all the feels, though we might just stick to our London charm!

Props to Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Jeep’s & Highdive Advertising’s ‘Electric Boogie’ with that infectious “Boogie Woogie” by Shaggy had us shaking a leg.

While J-Lo got a sneak peek into Ben Affleck’s “office hours” at Dunkin’, courtesy of Artist Equity.

And Bud Light? Well, they had us grooving even on hold!

So, spill the beans! Which ad won your heart this Super Bowl? 🏈
